Meet Dreamscape 400. 🎞️I originally introduced this recipe as Gold Dust, but after spending more time with these images, I realised the name didn’t quite capture the feeling I was going for.So… meet Dreamscape 400. 😍The recipe is inspired by the softer, more nostalgic character of 400-speed colour film - gentle contrast, subtle warmth, muted colours, soft highlights and a touch of grain.Less about recreating a specific film stock, and more about creating that feeling of looking back at a memory.Dreamscape 400Organic. Wave Swingers has always been one of my favourite things to capture at night, but somehow, I never had the chance to photograph it until today.There’s something about the spinning lights, the soft glow, the colours bleeding into the darkness, and the distant sounds of the ride that feels almost nostalgic. For a moment, it takes me back to those carefree nights when everything felt a little slower, brighter, and more magical.Maybe that’s what I love about night photography — capturing not just how a place looks, but how it feels.

I’ve been chasing that feeling of an old photograph lately - warm sunlight, faded colours, heavy grain, and just a little softness around the edges.So I made a recipe around it.📸Built on Classic Neg., pushed warm and golden, with strong large grain and plenty of haze, Dreamscape 400 is meant to make everyday moments feel a little more nostalgic like memories you can almost touch.Not perfectly clean. During sunset hours, Auckland CBD feels a little busier. People are rushing to catch the train home, some are still finishing their shifts, while others are simply taking a moment to slow down and chill.I love capturing these little in-between moments, almost like taking portraits, but without asking anyone to pose. Just people being themselves, caught naturally in the rhythm of the city.Shot from a 300mm distance, which let me pick out these small moments from the crowd and frame them almost like individual portraits. 📸There’s something about photographing people this way that I really enjoy observing quietly, waiting for a gesture, expression, or moment that makes the frame feel like a little story.--#fujifilmxseries #fujifilm #fujifilmrecipe #fujifilm_xseries
